Monday is one of our favourite times of the week (not often you hear that, right?!). For Monday is the day fresh-faced, excited new students walk through the doors at LTL Beihai.
More often than not students come to Beihai for the first time, have stories to tell about long haul flights and are “bright-eyed” and bushy tailed for the great adventure with LTL.
First things first though, you are most likely hungry so we get you acquainted and head on out for breakfast on Monday morning as a group.
Current students are always welcome to join. It’s a nice way to break the ice with people and share your early stories.
Well, in truth it can be any day of the week but generally we like to break up the week with an after class dinner for a get together.
The cuisine is always varied. China has so many flavours it’s unfair to expose you to just one. Every province in China has its own speciality. Take the famous Peking Duck in Beijing, Chongqing‘s very spicy hot pot, or the tasty skewers of the Western province Xinjiang.
There are normally plenty of different kinds of restaurants which you’ll find yourself at most of the week no doubt!
Tuck in and enjoy some of the best cuisine around the entire world.
Come on, you didn’t honestly think you’d come to the beach paradise of Beihai and not get involved in a beach party with us.
Sure we like to study, we all love it… but we also need to appreciate the finer sights of Beihai and a beach party is just the way to reel in the weekend.
The weather is pretty much beautiful all year round (maybe you’ll have to avoid the beach in January/February) and the cost of drinks are cheap as chips.
No excuses, although I’m sure we don’t have to force you to get involved! One of the more popular student events across all our cities, I wonder why…!
We’ll take you for a wander down on down one of Beihai’s most famous and popular streets.
Beihai Old Town boasts a tonne of history and the area is hugely interesting.
Nowadays you can find many bars and restaurants down there, at which we are sure you will spend plenty of time.
Pop on your shorts and skirts and take a steady, casual stroll through the old town, with a beer/cocktail stop to boot!
It wouldn’t be China, or LTL for that matter, without a trip to KTV. Such is the popularity of KTV you probably stumble across more of these than you do a 7/11 or a Bank of China!
KTV is ever present throughout China and we’ve been going there for years with our students in Beijing, Shanghai and further afield.
Pick your song of choice, grab the microphone and take to the stage. It’s great fun, even for the shyer characters, there’s still drink to be drunk and food to be eaten.
It just wouldn’t be LTL without a trip to KTV!
